New Delhi: A woman in China was mauled to death by a tiger when she stepped out of her car in a Beijing wildlife park on Monday. Another woman was critically injured.

The attack took place at Beijing’s Badaling Wildlife World Saturday, Chinanews.com reported, when one of the women left the vehicle following an altercation.

In a video posted on social media, a woman is seen coming out of her car and going to the other side. As she is standing near the car, a tiger is seen pouncing on her and dragging her away. Her companion and another lady get out of the car to rescue her.

The other woman tried to help her but was critically injured when another tiger attacked her.

The local Yanqing district government has confirmed the tiger attack, saying the injured woman is being treated for her injuries.

The wildlife park has been ordered to close for “rectification.”
