New Delhi: Slogans were raised in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) demanding freedom from the Pakistan rule. The protests and slogans directly targeted Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for deceit in the elections that were held last month. People gathered in all the major areas of PoK and the mob along with sloganeering also indulged in arson.

Elections were held in PoK on July 21; in these elections 32 seats out of 41 were won by Nawaz Sharif's Pakistan Muslim League (PML). Protesters gathered in large numbers in Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Chinari and Mirpur area and raised their voice against the rigged elections.

The protesters complained that they were not allowed to vote in the elections. The people also blamed ISI for the rigging in the elections. They alleged that in the PoK elections it is always the ruling party that wins.
