Panic at United States' JFK Airport as police get reports about gunshots being fired

Pictures emerged on social media regarding the evacuation of people from the airport

New Delhi: Panic gripped United States' John F Kennedy Airport on Monday after police received frantic calls about multiple shots being fired inside the airport. 
The shooting is believed to have taken place around 9:30 pm (US Standard Time) at Terminal 8 of the JFK Airport. 
However, no police officers have reported hearing any kind of shots being fired inside the terminal. 
Police immediately evacuated the Terminal 8 and increased security inside the airport to attend to any untoward incident. 
No suspect has been caught by the police. Drivers have been told to seek alternate routes that are not connected to the airport. 
NYPD and PAPD are at the scene to conduct investigation.
