New Delhi: United States presidential nominee and real-estate tycoon Donald Trump on Friday performed a rare humane ritual of expressing regret over some of the remarks he had so freely dispersed to the crowd before being elected as the Republican nominee for president of the United States.
Donald Trump, who is running head to head with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, said that sometimes people don't choose the right words. "Sometimes in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don't choose the right words or you say the wrong thing," Trump said at a rally in Charlotte in North Carolina.
"I have done that. And believe it or not, I regret it," he said. "I do regret it, particularly where it may have caused personal pain."
Although Donald Trump did possess a considerable percentage of lead over Clinton, his lacerating remarks against religious minorities and his blatant attacks against prominent individuals have left him trailing behind Clinton, who has her own share of problems to deal with.
While Donald Trump struggles with his poor choice of words, or thoughts, Hillary Clinton faces a tough ordeal of convincing a large group of millennial that she can be trusted as a good president.
