21 dead after bus falls into Nepal's Trishuli river

21 persons die after the bus plunges 100 metres down into the river

New Delhi: At least 21 persons were killed and 17 injured  on Friday when a bus plunged into Trishuli river near Pokhara city of Nepal’s Kaski district. The vehicle was heading towards Pokhara from the southern district of Rautahat.

The accident occurred along the Narayangadh-Muglin road section in the early hours.

Police source said the bus plunged 100 metres down into the river.

A rescue team with the help of local villagers are assisting the injured and pulling the dead from the wreckage of the bus which is still partially submerged.
