New Delhi: At least 12 people were killed and many injured on Friday night, after a huge explosion rocked a busy market in Philippine president's home city of Davao, according to media reports.
Soon after the explosion, ambulances and firetrucks were rushed to the explosion site and the injured were taken to the hospital. As per the initial reports, the number of injured touched 60.
However, the cause of the explosion is not known yet. 
Davao is a highly urbanized city on Mindanao, Philippines. As of the 2015 census, it had a population of 1,632,991 people, making it the third-most-populous city in the Philippines and the most populous in Mindanao.
