New Delhi: A judge in Canada is facing outburst on social media for his insensitive and sexist questions to a rape victim. The incident took place in 2014 when Federal Court judge Robin Camp asked a rape victim why she could not "just keep [her] knees together."
Camp had also stirred a controversy by acquitting the rapist. He had also ‘advised’ the rapist saying, “Tell your male friends to be gentle with women, be patient. You must be careful to protect yourselves. You should be careful.”
However, the decision was overturned and a new trial in the case is set to take place in November. Camp is currently in the middle of a week-long hearing that will determine his fate whether he ought to be removed from his position.
