New Delhi: A double-decker boat ferrying more than 100 passengers on board in the capital of Thailand was struck with tragedy on Sunday when the boat abruptly capsized in the water.
Occurring in the river north of Bangkok, a double-decker collided with an unknown entity in the water which abruptly caused the boat to capsize. At least 13 were reported death and more than 30 were injured in the accident. The incident occurred along the Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya province.

Thai police, in a media statement, said that the boat had been over-capacitated with passenger. The ideal number of passengers was 50, but the double-decker boat had gone for more than 100, that too over troubled water.
No foreign tourists were reportedly affected in the incident.
