4 people dead after firing at Cascade Mall in Burlington, Washington

New Delhi: At least four people have been killed after an unknown shooter opened fire in Cascade mall in Burlington. The shopping mall is about 65 miles north of Seattle, Washington.

According to reports, security presence has been stepped up near the shootout area and people are being evacuated from the mall.

It is being believed that the Hispanic shooter was apparently seen wearing grey clothes. The person had left the scene before the police arrived.

Crisis negotiators are being assembled to tackle the situation at the moment. It is also being reported that the shooter or shooters may have held people hostage inside the mall. 

It is not confirmed that man who has gone on a shooting sprees was working by himself was part of a larger organised crime.

Though the shootout is underway, efforts are on to neutralise the shooter.
