New Delhi: A lawyer who went on a shooting spree in United States' Houston City on Monday and shot nine people has been identified as Nathan Desai, an Indian-origin lawyer with apparent Nazi sympathies.

During the shooting, Nathan was wearing a military garb with Nazi symbols etched on it. Nathan went on shooting spree for more than 20-minutes before police officers eventually shot him dead. The deranged lawyer was shooting randomly at passing cars.

It is not clear why Desai went on a shooting spree. His 80-year-old father Prakash Desai told reporters that Nathan was constantly worried because he was not so doing well in his practice.

When people conducted a search of Nathan's house, they found Nazi emblems adorning his walls and several Civil War guns.

Fortunately, no one was killed in the shooting but one was critically injured while five others were hospitalised.
