New Delhi: In what can be said as a counter offensive by Pakistan after Indian political party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) threatened all Pakistani artists to leave India following Uri attack, Pakistan in its reply has banned biopic based on Indian Cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni titled, MS Dhoni: ‘The Untold Story’.
According to a Pakistani film distribution company, it has been learnt that following MNS threats to Pakistani artists, distributors in the Pakistan are refusing to release film based on Indian skipper MS Dhoni.
MNS, in its way to protest against Pakistan after the Uri attacks, had threatened Pakistani actors to leave the country. The party especially targeted Pak actor Fawad Khan and threatened to haul the release of his upcoming Karan Johar’s directional ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
Reacting on this issue, Indian filmmaker and social activist Ashoke Pandit took to twitter and said, “So a film which is a biopic on @msdhoni is banned in #Pakistan. I condemn it! Also want to know what the lovers of #PakArtists have to say?”
Dhoni’s biopic, staring Sushant Singh Rajput is scheduled to hit theatres in India on September 30.
