Diplomatic 'win' for India, Russia backs surgical strike

New Delhi: In another diplomatic win for India to isolate Pakistan over the issue of terror, Russia on Monday backed New Delhi for carrying out surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC).
According to reports, Russia supported India's decision to carry out surgical strikes by saying every country has the right to defend itself. It is a good diplomacy achievemement for India.
In an interview to CNN News 18, Russian ambassador Alexander M Kadakin to India said, “Greatest human rights violations take place when terrorists attack military installations and attack peaceful civilians in India. We welcome the surgical strike. Every country has right to defend itself.”
Post the Uri attack, the entire world community condemned the attacks and asked Pakistan to act against the terrorists.
Previously, Pakistan was embarrassed after the scheduled SAARC Summit got cancelled following India and other countries withdrawing their particpation.
Supporting India, Afghanistan and Bangladesh had also come out in support to India's decision to carry out surgical strikes to bust terror outfits.
Indian citizens and political leaders across party lines have also backed Indian government's decision for surgical strikes to attack terror launch pads across the LoC.
