New Delhi: At the O’Hare International Airport, Chicago on Saturday, an American Airlines jet caught fire after one of the tires from the jet blew off on the runway. Passengers inside the airplane were immediately told to evacuate. 
 
American Airlines flight 383, a Boeing B767 bound for Dubai, suffered a blown tire around 2:30 pm (Local Time) in Chicago on Friday. Footages from the runway shows the jet engulfed in smoke and flame while passengers evacuate the plane with the help of the emergency chute.
 
 
At the time of the incidence, the plane was carrying 161 passengers and 9 crew members. At least 20 suffered minor abrasions in the incident. 
 
Officials at the airport have closed off two of the airport’s runways.
