Los Angeles: Four people were killed in an ambulance plane crash late Friday in northern Nevada, media reported.
According to local media, three crew members and a patient on an American Medflight plane taking the patient to a Utah hospital were killed in a crash which happened in Friday evening in Elko, northern part of US Nevada.
Citing president of American Medflight, John Burruel, Xinhua reported that the company was ‘mourning the loss’ of its crew members and patient.
The reason of this crash is still not known.
“We are devastated by this event and wish we had answers to the many questions being asked at this time,” Burruel said in the statement.
“Our priority at this time is to look after the well-being of the affected family members and their co-workers and to be responsive to their needs,” American Medflight’s statement said.
“We ask the media and interested parties to be patient with the investigation process and honour the privacy of the family and friends of those who have lost their lives,” Burruel added.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will involve in an investigation on the crash.
