The Islamic State (ISIS) militants in order to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan have decided to organize a competition to promote Quran reading.
According to the Muslims belief, Prophet Mohammad received the holy book during the month of Ramadan and therefore it is highly encouraging for ISIS ‘soldiers’ to read Quran during this time. The contest was announced on June 19 this year. (Also read: Intelligence Bureau warns of ISIS attack in Delhi, India)
What is the challenge?
The contest is about Quran memorization in which the contestants have to remember the most warlike courses in the entire book since the militants are of a belief that Ramadan is the ideal time for religious extremism.
In a shocking advertisement released by the ISIS, they have claimed to reward the winners of the competition with sex slaves. The Da’wa and Mosques Department in Al-Baraka area in Syria will make use of ladies as prizes and the act of doling out people as reward is called ‘sibya’.
