A hotel in London has accused Air India employees of filling their tiffin boxes with food from breakfast buffet during their stay.

According to India Today, Hotel Renaissance London has written to Air India claiming that the crew members who stay at their hotel bring empty tiffin boxes during breakfast and fill them with the buffet food to consume later.

Reportedly, one of the crew members has attributed this habit to the “odd layover timings”. The Times of India has reported that some crew members have conceded to these claims, citing reasons like long distance travel in order to get better food as the hotel is situated very close to the airport.

The member also added that their salaries aren’t too much, layover compensation is meagre and meals ordered in the room are expensive and that’s why some of the crew members pack food off the buffet.
