In a tragic incident being reported, around 2 people were killed and at least 3 others were left injured on Sunday in a nightclub shooting that took place in the German city of Constance. As per police reports, a man opened fire around in the nightclub at 4.30 AM on Sunday. The attack took place at the Grey nightclub on Max-Stromeyer Strasse road.
One more person was killed on the spot, reported BBC.
Following the shootout, the concerned authorities were alerted after which the German police shot down the accused. The shooter later died at the hospital.
According to German media reports, the second person killed in the shootout was a guest at the club. However, several people managed to safe themselves by fleeing out of the club.
In the exchange of fire that took place between the gunman and the authorities, one official is said to be wounded and is currently being treated at a hospital.
In a statement released, the officials said that special commando forces and a police helicopter had been deployed in the city to see if the gunman had any accomplices hidden in the city.
