Jaish-e-Muhammad chief Masood Azhar has called for action in Myanmar. Masood Azhar has asked his followers to be ready to do something for the butchery of Muslim population in this region.

As per reports in a leading daily, in a column written in al-Qalam, Azhar mentioned, “It is because of the sacrifices of the Myanmar Muslims that the ummah (nation) is waking up and we are seeing this new awakening among the Muslims of the world… The entire Muslim ummah [nation] is feeling the pain of the Muslim nation.”

This is for the first time a terrorist organistaion has stepped in this matter. Some other Muslim organisation had earlier demanded strict action against Myanmar governemnt for perils faced by Rohingya Muslims.

Earlier this year, Masood Azhar and three others were declared ‘Proclaimed Offenders’ in the Pathankot airbase attack case by a special court in Mohali town of Punjab. The attack on the frontier Indian Air Force (IAF) base in Pathankot took place on January 2, 2016.

China on the other hand has been blocking attempts by India to get Azhar declared an international terrorist by the United Nations.
