Jammu: The Pakistan Army on Monday violated the ceasefire by resorting to unprovoked shelling and firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu, an army official said.
"The Pakistan Army used 120 mm and 82 mm mortar and heavy machine gun to violate the ceasefire on LoC in Saujiyan and Mandi sectors in Poonch district," defence spokesperson Col Manish Mehta told IANS.
"Pakistan firing started at 8 p.m. on Sunday and continued till 1 a.m. Intermittent firing is still on," the defence official said.
"Our troops are effectively and beffitingly responding to Pakistan shelling and firing. No casualty of our troops has been reported," he added.

LOC violations

Why this constant whimper about Pakistan doing this and that. Why bring India down to the level of Pakistan and spend time on such issues. If Pakistan violates India's borders, covertly or otherwise, just take stock and remove the cause of this distraction from our priorities, permanently. Just talking, whimpering etc just gives fuel to such elements. Just eliminate the cause and source of such actions. Time to effectively put a stop to all this, once and for all.
