LAHORE: Eight killed in bomb blast near Police Lines

LAHORE: In an apparent suicide bombing outside a police complex in Lahore, on Tuesday, eight people are confirmed dead.

The explosion took place around the Police Lines in Qila Gujar Singh area of the Pakistan’s eastern city, which is the second-largest and the power base of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

 The recent reports suggest that the suicide bomber who came from a hotel outside the Police Lines blew himself up, killing eight people and injuring many others.

Some reports also say that a rapid gun fire was followed after the explosion.

The blast today comes days after 22 people were killed in a gun and a suicide attack on a Shia mosque in Peshawar.
