The officials were notified that the drugs were being transferred on a truck and were being hidden in soap cases. The Mizoram and Cachar Frontier of the seventh BSF Battalion and the Karimganj Police carried out the joint operation.

The truck carrying soap cases entered from Mizoram near the new Karimganj railway station, and the police stopped it based on a piece of secret intelligence, according to the officials.

The truck, which was stopped on National Highway 37 close to the new Karimganj railway station, was allegedly carrying cocaine packed in 764 soap cases that were placed within the truck’s “secret chamber.”

The guy who was arrested will appear before the court. We are anticipating more details.

In the Cachar district of Assam, police earlier on Monday arrested a drug dealer and discovered substantial quantities of illegal substances hidden in 5 soap cases.

In response to a tip-off, the Officer-in-Charge of Dholai Police station and his team carried out a raid, according to Cachar Police.

Mojibur Rahman Talukdar’s residence at Karkat Basti, Dholai, was the target of the raid.

According to Cachar Police, “We seized 5 soap cases, containing 278.60 grammes of heroin, and the offender has also been taken into custody.”
