The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Central Election Committee today issued a list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha by-elections in Uttar Pradesh, as well as assembly by-elections in Rajasthan, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh.

The BJP has declared Raghuraj Singh Shakya’s candidacy for the forthcoming Lok Sabha bypolls in Mainpuri. The BJP has fielded Ashok Kumar Pincha from Rajasthan’s Sardarshahar Assembly seat in the Assembly bypolls.

Kedar Prasad Gupta will run on the BJP ticket from the Kurhani constituency in Bihar.
Brahmanand Netam will be the BJP’s candidate in Chattisgarh’s Bhanupratappur Assembly constituency.

Two Assembly seats in the state of Uttar Pradesh are up for grabs in byelections. The BJP has fielded Rajkumari Saini for the Khatauli seat, while Akash Saxena will be the BJP’s candidate for the Rampur seat.

The polling day is December 5, and the voting day is December 8, which coincides with the results of the Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat Assembly elections.

Arun Singh, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National General Secretary and Head Quarter Incharge, signed a press release announcing his candidacy.

The Assembly bypolls will be held in five states: Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Chattisgarh, and Bihar.

Meanwhile, the ECI has announced that the Parliamentary Constituency Mainpuri would go to polls following the death of Samajwadi Party leader and MP Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The Samajwadi Party (SP) has nominated Dimple Yadav, wife of party head Akhilesh Yadav, as its candidate for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat. Notably, Mainpuri is regarded as a Samajwadi Party stronghold.

In response to the Samajwadi Party’s decision to field Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav as a candidate in the upcoming Mainpuri bypolls, Deputy Chief Minister said that the BJP would field one of its prominent leaders.
