The Union Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Thakur attacked the opposition Congress and Aam Aadmi Party while speaking to three public gatherings in Surendranagar and Wadhwa in Gujarat (AAP).

Gopal Italia, the leader of the AAP’s Gujarat branch, was mocked by Thakur “In the past, Narendra Modi Ji was insulted by an Italian lady; today, Modi Ji’s mother is insulted by an Italian. Gujarat has already refused to accept this and will continue to do so. Gujarat will respond appropriately.”

From October 12 to October 20, five routes will be part of the Gujarat Gaurav Yatra, which is being organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party. JP Nadda, the president of the BJP at the national level, marked off two roads on October 12; on October 13, Amit Shah, the union home minister, flagged off three routes. The BJP wants to travel 5734 kilometres across Gujarat during this yatra.

Before the 2017 assembly elections and in 2002, the party conducted this yatra under the direction of Narendra Modi. This time, the Yatra will pass through 144 of Gujarat’s 182 assemblies, during which time more than 145 public gatherings will take place.

Anurag Thakur commended Gujarat in Malvan’s public gathering for producing outstanding leaders for the nation.

“Gujarat has contributed to the liberation fight by producing leaders like Sardar Patel and Mahatma Gandhi. The same country that gave us our dear Prime Minister Shri Narendra Ji during the Covid era has given us him now. India is only on the way to becoming a Vishwa Guru under his guidance “said Thakur.

Thakur said, “In Gujarat, there were numerous criminal acts and frequent riots, which led to the imposition of curfews. However, when Modi Ji came to power in 2001, the riots were put to an end permanently, and development became the only viable option for the state’s future.”

Gujarat, according to the Union Minister, serves as a national example of growth.

“With the support of the local population, we are going to smash all prior records thanks to the massive BJP wave in Gujarat. For the first time in history since 1984, Modi Ji won a historic majority in 2014 and 2019. Additionally, Modi Ji would offer more than 400 seats in 2024 “said Thakur.

The BJP leader also praised the Modi administration’s efforts to honour “Hindu icons.”

“Only the BJP administration led by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has been able to work toward protecting our cultural heritages like Somnath temple, Kedarnath Dham, Kashi Vishwanath Dham, and Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya,” Thakur added.
