BTS have officially announced that 2022 FIFA World Cup will feature a performance by Jung Kook and begin on November 20 at Al Bayt Stadium in Doha, Qatar. He will perform during the opening ceremony of the soccer competition and take part in the World Cup soundtrack.

“Proud to announce that Jung Kook will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony and is featured on the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack. Pay attention! On November 11, Friday, the band tweeted.

On November 20, Qatar’s team will play Ecuador. Eight different stadiums around Doha will host games between teams from around the world. The final game takes place on December 18 to complete it.

A new version of “Yet to Come” by BTS was released in September, and the music video for the song depicts soccer fans from all around the world as a lead-up to Jung Kook’s appearance at the World Cup opening ceremony.

The band’s anthology effort, Proof, was followed by Jung Kook’s solo single “My You,” which was published earlier this year. Along with producing “Stay Alive” alongside his bandmate Suga, he also worked on “Left and Right” with Charlie Puth.

RM, a member of BTS, said that his formal debut album, Indigo, will be released on December 2.

Pharrell said that he worked with BTS on a new song during a Musicians on Musicians interview with RM for Rolling Stone. The song will come on Pharrell’s upcoming album, tentatively named Phriends. Regarding the song, RM commented, “I fucking adore it.” In the meantime, Jin from BTS released the solo track “The Astronaut” in October.
