In order to take on Reliance Jio, Vodafone has launched a new Red postpaid plan starting with just Rs 299. In the new Vodafone Red postpaid plans, the company will offer unlimited calls, more internet data. Getting into more specifics about the new Red postpaid plan, it will offer unlimited voice calls, 20 GB of 3G/4G data and other benefits. Vodafone already offers Amazon Prime membership and Netflix subscription in its existing plans. However, now its seems that the company is planning big to take on competitor Reliance Jio, which ever since has come into telecommunication industry, has affected other telecom operators to work on their existing plans in order to retain existing user base.

Vodafone in its new Rs 299 Red postpaid plan, apart from unlimited calls, 20 GB data, will also be offering unlimited voice calling, free incoming and outgoing on roaming. In addition to this, the new Rs 299 plan will also have 100 SMS (local and STD). According to reports, users will also be able to use a data rollover benefit up to 50GB in this new Red
postpaid plan.

Adding on to this, the new Rs 299 plan will also have a Vodafone Play 12 months subscription. The new plan which includes free benefits for a total of Rs 2,400 in its Red basic offer, can only be availed or subscribed using the My Vodafone app. As per current information, the new offer aimed at targeting Reliance Jio, will not be availed through retail shops or even from the Vodafone site. It’s only available through My Vodafone app.
