India logs 4,369 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

Ministry of Health and Family Affairs was notified on Tuesday that 4,369 new COVID cases had been reported throughout India during the previous 24 hours.

India presently has 46,347 cases that are actively pending, which represents 0.1% of all cases. At the moment, the recovery rate is 98.71%. The number of recoveries increased to 5,178 in the previous day, bringing the total to 4,39,30,417.

A weekly positivity rate of 1.73 percent and a daily positivity rate of 1.25 percent have been recorded across the nation.

Government of India has been assisting the States and UTs by giving them free COVID vaccinations as part of the countrywide immunisation push.

Union Government will purchase and provide (free of charge) to States and UTs 75% of the vaccinations being manufactured by the country’s vaccine producers as part of the next phase of the COVID-19 immunisation push.

Nationwide Vaccination Drive has so far provided 215.47 crore total vaccine doses (94.55 crore Second Doses and 18.53 crore Precaution Doses), of which 21,67,644 doses were administered just in the past 24 hours.

Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare was urged to look into the Covid fatalities caused by an oxygen shortage and make sure the relatives of the dead receive compensation in a report released earlier on Monday by the parliamentary standing committee on health and family welfare.
