India logs 2,756 new Covid cases in last 24 hours

Ministry of Health and Family Affairs was notified on Sunday that 2,756 new COVID cases had been reported in India in the previous 24 hours.

28,593 active cases are now pending in India, which represents 0.6% of all cases. In the past 24 hours, 3,393 people have recovered, bringing the overall number of recovered patients (since the pandemic started) to 4,40,54,621 on Sunday.

The Health Ministry reported that the nationwide COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.75%.

The weekly positivity rate is 1.28 percent, compared to a daily positivity rate of 1.15 percent.

Until 7 am today, preliminary figures indicated that India has vaccinated more than 218.97 cr (2,18,97,88,104) people against COVID-19.
