DMK leader A Raja stokes controversy over Shudra remark

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) MP A Raja mixed shock in the wake of offering offending comments toward Hindus. The senior DMK legislator expressed last week at an occasion in Tamil Nadu’s Namakkal that Shudras, the lower standing in the varna framework, are the descendants of courtesans and would remain, for example, long as they follow Hinduism.
