Patna: A case has been registered against four persons including the Director of Vishnu Rai College in connection with Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) results issue.

They have been booked for alleged irregularities in evaluation of marks in this year’s 10+2 examination held by the board.

The state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday directed the education department to lodge an FIR in connection with alleged irregularities Intermediate exam for the current year.

He assured that said the guilty won’t be spared and the investigation into this matter will be done with a criminal angle.

BSEB on Saturday cancelled the result of first and third toppers in the science stream as both failed their re-test and decided to give another chance to the arts topper to appear for a re-test on June 11, officials said.

The state government received a report on a re-assessment of 13 of 14 toppers of Class 12 examination which was meant to find out if they really deserved their high grades or had cheated their way to the top.

A sting conducted by a news channel showed Shreshtha, the science topper, saying: “Most reactive element in the periodic table is aluminium.”

Ruby Rai, who topped the Class 12 exam in the arts, said: “Prodikal (read political) science is about cooking.”
