Chennai: Anna University, a technical university in the state of Tamil Nadu that provides technical education to students’ across the state has announced that there would be around 2 lakh seats available for students this year when the general counselling begins from 27 June.
The university conducts Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) for candidates who aspire to pursue technical education. The university offers various courses in engineering and technology through its affiliated colleges and follows a dual semester system.
S Ganesan, registrar of Anna University said, “Like last year, we expect around two lakh seats for this year. However, the total number of seats available under Single Window System will be known only on 22 June, when the rank lists are released.”
As per university registrar, the university received 1,85,070 applications online, of which 1,34,722 candidates have paid their fee as of 31 May.
