UPSC IES/ESE 2018: The confirmed and official message for Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2018 was given out by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on upsc.gov.in.
Anyone who is interested in the application for the same and is eligible for it too, can apply for the prestigious examination in a few simple steps by visiting the official website of the entrance test.
Going by the official circular available on upsc.gov.in, “the candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.”
It is to be remembered that just the issuance of an e- Admission Certificate is not the confirmation of the applicant’s final candidature by the UPSC. The eligibility of the candidates is sealed only upon the verification of the original documents after the successful qualification of the Personality Test module.
Anyone interested in the process of applying for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2018 simply has to fill an online application which has been duly mentioned in the circular. The last date for the filling of the Online Application is October 23, 2017 but it will be available for completion till 6:00 PM in the evening. If you miss this, the portal will not be operational.
Recruitment on the results of this examination will be made to the Services/ Posts under the following categories:
Category I‐Civil Engineering
Category II‐Mechanical Engineering
Category III‐Electrical Engineering
Category IV‐Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
There are approximately 588 which includes 18 PH(LDCP‐15 & HI‐03) vacancies. However, the total number of vacancies is liable to alteration, according to the circular.
