The application process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 will end on October 5. Eligible candidates who have still not registered for the same can register before the last date.This year, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG) is conducting the examination which will take place on February 3, 4, 10 and 11, 2018. Candidates can fill up the online application form available on also known as the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website. The candidates can check detailed notification at GATE’s official website – The exams for GATE 2018 are scheduled to be held on 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th February next year. The exams will be held in two slots: Forenoon, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon and Afternoon, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

At first, candidates will have to register themselves by submitting their basic details such as name, email id and phone number etc. In the second step they will have to fill the required information and details in the application form online and complete the registration process by submitting the application fee. Aspirants will also have to upload the required documents. The application fee for female candidates is Rs 750 for SC/ST/PwD category candidates is Rs 750 and for all other candidates, the fee is Rs 1500.

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and science. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD), and Government of India.
