On Friday, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that all the candidates from Class 12 who wish to appear for improvement or compartment exams can now fill in their applications. The CBS has called for applications from students who have failed or are not eligible for Improvement of Performance (NIOP). In the announcement made, the CBSE further added that candidates can also appear as private candidates in the CBSE board exams which are scheduled to be held in March 2018.

Apart from calling in the applications from Class 12, the CBSE has also asked for the application for private students for the Class 10 exams. The exams which will be held by CBSE will constitute for 80 marks and will be covering 100% of the syllabus of Class 10.

In the notice released by CBSE, the Board said that the students who have been declared as EIOP/NIOP in Board (SA-2) examination 2017/ earlier will need to give 2018 examination (covering entire Class 10 syllabus) according to a revised pattern. The candidates who will be appearing for the exams have to pay a fee of Rs 900 which is for 5 subjects. The fee has been submitted before November 27, 2017. Meanwhile, the fee for an additional subject for private candidates is Rs 180, for additional, compartment or improvement candidates is Rs 200 and for practicals and projects is Rs 80.

In another notification issued by the CBSE for the candidates, the board said that it will be allocating fresh roll numbers for the students appearing for the 2018 Board exams. For the students appearing from outside of Delhi region, the Board said that the students can download an intimation letter for the admit cards in January/February 2018, for the locals, they admit cards will be available online from February 2018.
