In August, the Indian Army stopped a Pakistani terrorist infiltration attempt in Uri sector forwarding regions, killing three terrorists.
Following a search of the area, the Indian Army discovered the terrorists’ bodies, as well as a considerable quantity of war-like supplies, including two AK weapons, one Chinese M-16 rifle, and other ammunition.
The Army has repelled a fourth infiltration attempt along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir in the previous three days.
The operation, according to the PRO (Defence) Srinagar, was launched based on specific inputs from Army Intelligence agencies.
“Consequently, on 24th Aug afternoon, multiple ambushes were laid to trap the infiltrators. Intensive electronic surveillance of the suspected area led to the detection of the attempt at 0700h on 25th Aug. Terrorists were hoping to use the cover of thick undergrowth, foliage and continuous rain and low clouds to infiltrate,” said Defence PRO.
The successful action of the Indian Army not only resulted in the elimination of three Pakistani terrorists, but also in the thwarting of Pakistan’s malicious schemes and purpose to disrupt peace, prosperity, and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir.
The use of electronic surveillance and intelligence-based operations remains the mainstay of IA operations against Pakistan-sponsored terror in Jammu and Kashmir, according to the statement.
