NEW DELHI: Former porn star Sunny Leone has finally broken her silence on the ongoing controversy over her condom advertisements. Senior Left leader Atul Kumar Anjan stirred a major controversy after accusing adult actress Sunny Leone for the increasing number of rapes in India.
34-year-old actress Leone responded to the criticism from the senior politician and the former chief of the Delhi Commission of Women over a condom commercial she featured in.
In a tweet posted on Thursday evening, Sunny lashed out at the politician and asked them to focus on the people who seek their help and support. Also Read: Sunny Leone or Condom Advertisement: What offended Atul Anjan?

According to PTI, former Chairperson of the Delhi Commission of Women, Barkha Singh urged the government to withdraw the ‘highly immoral’ commercial from being aired on the television.
Soon after Atul Kumar Anjan’s remarks started gaining criticism on social media and made headlines, the man in power apologized for his statement but again at his sarcastic best. “Supporters of porn and Sunny Leone are raising objections. I apologise but don’t stand for such ads,” he said.
He further added that the advertisements featuring Sunny Leone are vulgar. “I am not anti-condoms but the language used in the commercial,” he said.
According to the reports, the video was shot at a rally in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday in which the National Secretary of the Communist Party or CPI warned that the commercial will lead to more rapes.
Before appearing on the controversial reality show Bigg Boss, Sunny Leone was had featured in several adult movies. After her stint in the Bigg Boss house, she then made a debut in Bollywood with Jism 2 in 2012. Also Read: Revealed: List of 8 contestants expected to be on Bigg Boss 9

This is not the first time that Sunny Leone has been associated with her past and ridiculed for the same.
