London:  One of the most beloved character in modern cinema and an admired actor in Britain in the past three decades, Alan Rickman, today passed away in London at the age of 69.
Aggrieved by his death, Alan Rickman’s family confirmed the demise of the actor who had been suffering from cancer.
Rickman is best known for his performance as Professor Snape from the famous Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling. The actor has also starred in the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Die Hard’ where he plays the role of the villain against Bruce Willis.
Apart from his roles in famous talkies, Alan Rickman’s undeniable talent lied in theatrical performances which the actor perennially returned to. The actor is deemed unique for his archetypical style of diction and his nonchalant on-screen performances.
The death of Alan Rickman follows that of legendary rock singer David Bowie who also lost the battle to cancer last week.
