Civil War: Robert Downey Jr changes lighting of Eiffel Tower in support of team Iron Man

New Delhi: Captain America: Civil war is less than three weeks from release and the Avengers are making all efforts to convince audience to join their side. A recent video uploaded by Marvel shows that perhaps the most aggressive member campaigning is Tony Stark/Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr.
The video features Downey Jr hacking into the programming of the Eiffel Tower’s lights to flaunt his team’s colors.
Downey attended Captain America: Civil War’s Paris premiere with Don Cheadle, Emily VanCap and co-director Anthony Russo at the Le Grand Rex theatre, but while there, he also paid a visit to the Eiffel Tower, or, as it’s also known, the Iron Lady.
Assuming his Tony Stark persona, the actor noted not only how much of a technological triumph the landmark is, but also a place of unity. Because of the turmoil among the Avengers and other Marvel heroes in Captain America: Civil War, Iron Man decided to seek comfort from the Iron Lady, but such a special occasion called for some lighting changes via his special device. Starting with basic black, he then transitioned “her” into the familiar blue glow seen on his arc reactor.
After a few more basic colors, ‘Tony’ finally arrived on his favorite red and gold color scheme and challenged Team Captain America to do better.
Civil War agenda aside, it’s pretty cool that Marvel was allowed to even arrange something of this scale. Manipulating the lights on the global cultural icon certainly fits Tony Stark’s persona of being a technological expert.
While the video appears all in fun, Tony won’t be having such an enjoyable affair with Steve Rogers in Captain America: Civil War on May 6.
