NEW DELHI: Even though the country was divided in two groups’ ant- and pro Salman Khan’s verdict in 2002 hit-and-run case, the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor has been silent all this while.
The actor and his family has gone through a difficult phase as the final verdict on the long-pending case was announced on May 6, 2015 when Salman was convicted and sentenced to five years of imprisonment.
Ever since Judge JW Deshpande found Salman guilty in the case and awarded the actor with serious punishment, his fans, friends and fellow actors have been praying and coming out publically in his support, while some even tagged the verdict as ‘unfair’.
However, the Bombay High Court on Friday relieved the celebrity and his family and suspended his term and asked Salman to make a fresh appeal at the Mumbai Sessions Court. The actor was then granted bail after paying a bail bond of Rs. 30, 000.
Salman who has been quiet so far on the matter, even as one of his fans reportedly attempted suicide outside the High Court during his hearing on Friday, has finally broken the silence and thanked all his fans and followers for their unconditional support.
As the 49-year-old actor is finally at the comfort of his home, he decided to express gratitude to fans that supported him all along on Twitter. Here is what he said:
All those who prayed for and supported me thank u meherbani shukriya .
