Mumbai: Self-proclaimed critic Kamal R Khan aka KRK have violated piracy laws by leaking Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shivaay’ online.
While watching the movie on Thursday in a Dubai theatre the attention monger critic not only tweeted out the opening scene, he even went on to reveal some important plot details from the movie.
He uploaded the video on Twitter along with the caption “#Shivaay is starting with trailer of next flop #RockOn2.”
He followed it with yet another tweet, “First scene of Shivaay,” and shared the clip.
This was not the end, within a few minutes KRK even revealed the main plot of the movie via his tweets.
He wrote on Twitter, “Let me clear, #Shivaay is story of prostitution problem in Bulgaria, so what Indian audience has to do with it? Why will Indians watch it?”
In yet another tweet, he wrote, “Story started by 9 years old memory and Since last 15 minutes Ajay Devgan Sahab is jumping in the mountains! #Shivaay.” Ajay Devgn has been at pains to keep the plot of his film secret. Even the film’s trailer or songs have not given away much till now.
As soon as the tweet went viral on social media KRK deleted it and came forward with a clarification. He tweeted:
Although the ‘Deshdrohi’ actor deleted the tweet when he got a hint that it might land him into a legal soup, the makers of Shivaay were quick enough to get screenshots of KRK’s shitty tweets. And of now the Distributor Reliance Entertainment are planning legal action against KRK.
While talking to Bollywood Life, Shibasish Sarkar, COO Reliance Entertainment said, “What has happened is that, you know in the middle east the films open one day before, KRK has started to copy the film from inside the cinema and has started putting those videos. We are taking strict legal action and filing a complaint with the cyber crime in Mumbai. We have also written to all the social media platforms like Twitter, YouTube and Facebook too coz when any kind of piracy happens, we take stringent action including criminal action.”
A month ago, Ajay Devgn shared a telephonic conversation between his manager Kumar Mangat and KRK on social media. In the conversation, KRK was heard claiming that he was paid Rs 25 lakh by Karan Johar to promote his film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Earlier to this KRK blasted Devgn’s forthcoming ‘Shivaay’ and showered praise on Karan Johar’s ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.
