Canadian rapper Drake won the Grammy for Best Rap Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for his ‘memetacular’ blockbuster hit song ‘Hotline Bling’ at the 2017 Grammy Awards held at Staples Center, Los Angeles on Sunday night.
His award was collected by producer Paul Jefferies, who works under the name Nineteen85 as he jumped on stage to claim the prestigious golden trophy and also teased Drake’s upcoming release.
Unfortunately, the ‘6 God’ was not part of the star-studded Grammy audience at Staples Center as he is currently finishing his ‘The Boy Meets World Tour’ in UK.
For Drizzy, it’s his 3rd career Grammy after winning Best Rap Album for Take Care in 2011.
Although the OVO sound leader may not have been in attendance, he celebrated his counterpart Chance The Rapper’s Best New Artist win at the Grammys.
