Bollywood stars Amitabh Bachchan, Farah Khan and Karan Johar among others have urged fans to dedicate every day in celebration of womanhood, on the occasion of International Women’s Day. 

The celebrities took to Twitter to post their wishes. 

“‘Woman’s Day’.. ?? A single day dedicated to women ? But a woman dedicates every day of her life!!!” tweeted Bachchan. 

Sonakshi Sinha wrote, “Why have just a day dedicated to us when we have the power to make every day, our day?!? More power to you ladies, today and always! #bosslady.” 

Actress Neha Dhupia said, “Celebrate womanhood… Because there nothing more beautiful… #happywomensday.” 

“For all those dedicating this one day to us women, I have just two words for you all… Get Lost!! (and that’s the milder version),” tweeted Farah. 

“One lifetime isn’t enough to celebrate women. #HappyWomensDay let’s try to treat them better cause who runs the world -girls,” wrote ‘Badlapur’ star Varun Dhawan. 

Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar, while giving her best wishes to all on the occasion, said, “In our country, women are considered an avatar of Goddess Durga. I expect you all take inspiration from her and face difficulties with strength and move ahead in life.” 

“We are stronger than people think we are. We are MORE than equal! More power to all the women/girls out there!!! #HappyWomensDay,” said actress Alia Bhatt. 

“Here’s hoping that the monsters of this country,the uneducated,unrealistically shameful men lay off the “flower” this year. #HappyWomensDay,” she added. 

Johar tweeted, “Women don’t need a day to celebrate their power and strength! Men on the other hand just need a tight slap! And all will be well…”

Actress-MP Hema Malini tweeted, “Happy Women’s Day!” 

Demanding revoke on the ban on documentary ‘India’s Daughter’, director Onir tweeted, “The best gift the govt could give the women in this country on #InternationalWomensDay is lift the ban on #IndiasDaughter #BeAWoman.”
