Former Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) chief Pahlaj Nihalani who was recently sacked from his post, did make a cut in a film ahead of stepping down from his position.

The latest victim of Nihalani’s scissor is none other than Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez’s upcoming film, A Gentleman.

As per a report published by DNA, Sidharth and Jacqueline’s prolonged smooch has been removed from the film. The co-directors of the movie Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru have been asked by CBFC to shorten the lingering kiss between the lead actors.

A source was quoted saying, “The lead pair’s kiss just went on and on unnecessarily, just like the smooch in the James Bond film and Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. We’ve asked them to take it easy. The film is titled A Gentleman, but the hero seems to forget his manners while kissing.”

As per reports, the kiss is not just the longest kiss in the movie but the longest in the history of Bollywood. Censor Board has certified it as a U/A movie and has also cut a few swear words from the film.

Actors Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez, who are paired together in a film for the first time, recently revealed that their movie ‘Reload’ has been renamed ‘A Gentleman – Sundar, Susheel, Risky’.

Produced by Fox Star Studios, the movie is  set to release on August 25.
