Company actor Vivek Oberoi is making his big Tamil debut with none other than Ajith in the film ‘Vivegam’. In an exclusive chat with NewsX, the Bollywood actor reveals that there are no ‘shades’ in any role — roles are either boring or interesting. Director Siva wrote the part with him in mind and the rest is history.

Vivek Oberoi calls Kollywood’s box office king as ‘Ajith Anna’ and says that he has never met a more humble person than him. “The first day we were on set, Ajith Anna came and hugged me. It was a very warm welcome and he thanked me for accepting the role,” smiles Vivek. As for Akshara Haasan, the actor calls her a pint-sized bundle of talent and says she is going to go far in her career.

Vivek is excited about the film and can’t wait to watch it on the first day in Chennai with Thala fans. Meanwhile, he also talks about the big nepotism debate in Bollywood. “I told my dad not to produce a film for me and landed the role in ‘Company’ myself. I will support my kids in whatever they decide to do in life,” he says. He considers his mom as his role model and believes strongly in women’s empowerment.

As for the big patriotism debate, the Bollywood actor has some interesting views.
