Tamil thriller ‘Vikram Vedha’ starring R Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead is all set for its Bollywood remake. The movie was a box office hit and also critically acclaimed because of its amazing treatment of the concept as well as the story.

If rumours are to be believed, King Khan of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in to play the one of the leads in the remake of ‘Vikram Vedha’.

Interestingly, the trailer of Vikram Vedha was launched by SRK himself by sharing it on his Twitter handle. It is yet to be clarified which role the ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ actor’ will be playing in the movie—of that of R Madhavan as a cop or Vijay Sethupathi as a gangster. Further details on the cast and crew, including the director, are yet to be unveiled.

However, Y Not Studios, the production company who owns the rights of ‘Vikram Vedha’ in a tweet have mentioned that they haven’t sold the remake rights of movies to any other language. “We have not sold the remake rights of Vikram Vedha in any language. We have plans of producing it ourselves. Official announcement soon. Tx”, reads the tweet.

Y Not Studios had earlier made ‘Saala Khadoos’ and ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’ in Bollywood.

Shah Rukh Khan who was last seen in ‘Jab Harry Met’ opposite Anushka Sharma failed to impress audience. The actor has recently begun shooting for his upcoming movie where he will be reportedly seen as a dwarf. This untitled movie directed by Aananad L Rai marks the comeback of SRK and Katrina Kaif after 5 years
