The craze for ‘Judwaa 2’ among people seem to touching the sky as Varun Dhawan starrer continues to perform well at the box-office. ‘Judwaa 2’, a reboot to original ‘Judwaa’ which had Salman Khan in lead, has smashed all the records to become the fourth-highest opening Hindi film this year 2018.

According to box-office reports, Judwaa 2, which had garnered around Rs 15.55 crore on its opening day, earned around Rs 18 crore on Saturday.

Apart from the names are being same, ‘Judwaa’ and ‘Judwaa 2’ share the same director, David Dhawan. The film which is gaining lots of love from across the world, also stars the ‘original Judwaa’ Salman Khan in a cameo.

Sharing the experience of working with his father again, the duos were last seen together in ‘Main Tera Hero’, Varun Dhawan said that the Producer Nadiadwala and the Director David Dhawan, had been in talk over this project for quite some time, but he was never made the part of the conversations till he was seen fit for the role.

Speaking to daily, Varun Dhawan said, “In got to play ‘Prem’ and ‘Raja’, after my father thought that I have proved myself, and is ready to jump into the shoes of original ‘Judwaa’, Salman Khan.

The 1997 hit ‘Judwaa’, which had Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Rambha in the leading roles, now has Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu replacing them in ‘Judwaa 2’.

Apart from this, the film has also retained two of the most chart busting numbers from the original movie — ‘Chalti hai kya 9 se 12’ and ‘Lift Teri Bandh Hai’.

Judwaa 2 tells the story of identical twins Raja and Prem, who were separated at birth and grow up to be polar opposites of each other. Raja’s arrival in London, the city where Prem lives, triggers a series of hilarious events, stemming from mistaken identity.
