Coming enthralled from the success of movies like ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’, ‘Badlapur’ Varun Dhawan looks like he is on a roll this year as his second Bollywood entertainer ‘Judwaa 2’ after his blockbuster release on Friday has stacked up Rs 59.25 crore in total. The movie ‘Judwaa 2’ also features Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline Fernandez and the pairing fortuitously for Varun Dhawan has roped in Rs 22.60 crore on Sunday, making it one of the Bollywood highest openers this year.

Albeit the holiday season is on full fledge, one can still take nothing away from Varun Dhawan as the actor comprehensively stepped in superstar Salman Khan’s shoes in rehashing his father David Dhawan’s 1997 blockbuster.

While sharing the success of ‘Judwaa 2, Varun said he is happy as an actor but even more proud as a son. “‘Judwaa 2’ is David Dhawan’s 44th film. I am happy as an actor but prouder as a son. He knows his audience and says thank you,” Varun tweeted.

According to box-office reports, Judwaa 2 collected around Rs 15.55 crore on its opening day, earned around Rs 18 crore on Saturday and on a super Sunday the movie harvested Rs 22.60 crore.‘Judwaa 2’ on one hand has Varun Dhawan, bringing back the iconic ‘Judwaa’ characters of Raja and Prem rendered by Salman Khan alongside Jacqueline and Taapsee, who’ve filled the shoes of Karisma Kapoor and Rambha on the other.

For now, the film cast promoting the movie with full zest visited the set of reality television show ‘Bigg Boss’, hosted by non-other than Salman Khan which went on air last Sunday.”What a picture perfect way to end this beautiful chapter ‘Judwaa 2′.’Bigg Boss’, Thank you for all the love. It’s all yours now,” Taapsee shared on social media.

“And it’s a wrap on ‘Judwaa 2’ promotions with the one and only Salman Khan on ‘Bigg Boss. Thank you for love and support always,” Jacqueline Fernandez posted on Instagram.
