On October 3, he was out on bail and now actor Dileep will start shooting for his next film from October 20. The actor steps back onto the sets after more than 3 months for director Rathish Ambatt’s ‘Kammara Sambhavam’. And it’s being said that the actor has increased his salary to Rs 3.5 crores! The actor’s last release ‘Ramaleela’ was a hit and is still running in theatres. The political thriller has some scenes which are very close to Dileep’s real life and fans thronged to theatres to show their support for him.
Rathish Ambatt’s ‘Kammara Sambhavam’ is being reportedly made on a Rs 20 crore budget. The film also stars Siddharth, Bobby Simha, Namitha Pramod and others. Murali Gopy, the writer and actor, has penned the script for this film. The crew will begin to start shooting for select portions without Dileep initially and the actor will join them later is what is being reported currently. Dileep had about Rs 60 crore riding on him when he was arrested. He had signed numerous films and they all had to be put on hold with his arrest.
Dileep was arrested on July 10 in connection with the kidnapping and alleged sexual assault of a Malayalam actress. He was the 11th accused in the case and he was said to be the mastermind behind the whole incident. However, he was given bail on October 3 and was asked to lodge two personal sureties and surrender his passport.
Once a powerful man in the film industry, there seems to be mixed feelings about Dileep’s release on bail and his return to films. The case is still ongoing in court and Dileep will be monitored by the Kerala police. But as of now, he is back home enjoying his freedom and getting ready to get back to making films which is what he loves.
