Ayan Mukerji, the director of the forthcoming film ‘Brahmastra,’ has published a new motion poster showcasing actor Mouni Roy, referring to her as the “surprise gift” in the film.

Ayan came to Instagram to show a motion poster of Mouni Roy, dubbing her role as ‘Junoon.’

“A lot of people, I think, are going to walk out of Brahmastra, raving about Mouni’s Performance as Junoon,” he captioned the photo. Moun, who has a great devotion to Lord Shiva, has always understood Brahmastra very effortlessly – and with that understanding, she totally crushed it in our film!

When I initially met her, I offered her a’special appearance’ in Brahmastra. She eventually shot with us from the first day to the last, and she is truly the surprise package in the film!”

will be announced on Wednesday, June 15th. While it has been mentioned that Brahmastra is a fantasy film with magical elements, the plot of the film has not been revealed.

Ayan has indicated in several interviews that the film has been in development for roughly nine years. The production of the film began roughly five years ago. The first instalment of a projected three-part series is titled ‘Brahmastra Part One: Shiva.’

‘Brahmastra,’ directed by Ayan, will be released in many languages on September 9, 2022.
