Reality show Bigg Boss and controversies go hand in hand. Season 11 contestant and tantric Sshivani Durgah has landed in trouble as an apex body of seers has objected to her participation in the show. According to a report in Hindustan Times, a body of Hindu Sadhus Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad (ABAP) is upset with Durgah’s presence on the show and plans to boycott her. The body also plans to release a second list of fake babas with Durgah’s name on it. It also contains name of Bigg Boss 10 contestant Om Swami.
ABAP President Mahant Narendra Giri has said he would not hesitate in declaring Sshivani as ‘fake’ if she goes on to participate in such shows for money and fame. “For money and media mileage, such self-styled fake saints take part in such shows or give media bytes. We will not tolerate this and will induct such controversial names in fake saint list, which is being compiled,” Giri was quoted as saying by HT.
The first list of fake babas was released by Parishad in September in which it disassociated itself with 14 self-style god men including rape accused Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim Singh, Asaram, Radhe Ma among others.
41-year-old Sshivani Durgah is participating in Bigg Boss as a commoner contestant. Durgah belongs to Noida and has a long list of achievements associated with her name. She was awarded as “Tarot Queen of Cups” by Bharat Nirman. In addition to that, Durgah is also recipient of “Outstanding Professionalism” award by GTN. The Bigg Boss 11 contestant has a PhD degree and has completed her education from USA. Sshivani Durgah is founder of Sarveshwari Shakti women Akhara and IWCVT – Indian Wiccan Community and Vodou Temple. Durgah had said she is participating in the show to redeem the name of saints across the nation.
