As the release date of Tom Hanks starer, Forrest Gump’s official Hindi remake is around the corner, Aamir khan’s look and character get a nod from the Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC).

During a special screening, the members of SGPC gave a green signal to the Sikh character of Aamir Khan. The members loved the film and approved the depiction of Aamir’s character as a Sardar. Aamir Khan expressed his appreciation for the approval by the SGPC, and he’s glad that the film touched their hearts.
According to the sources, the film is set in Punjab, and Aamir is playing the character of a Sikh.


The markers wanted to be certain that they got every detail right, and as the film is ready now, they specially screened it for the members of SGPC so that the sentiments of the community, are kept under the account.
The producers also shared that before filming even started, the script was shown to the members of SGPC as they strive to get every nuance right.


Just like the Hollywood original, the official Hindi remake registers the journey of the protagonist during the major historical events that shaped India.

Laal Singh Chaddha took around 14 years in making, where eight years were spent to get the official rights of the movie.


The official Twitter account of Laal Singh Chaddha wished well to the movie and urged the audience to watch the official Hindi remake on 11 August 2022. The film is directed by Advait Chandan and also stars Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya in his Bollywood debut. The Hindi adaptation has been written by actor-screenwriter Atul Kulkarni. The film is produced by Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao, and Viacom18 Studios.
